Paramount Japan have updated their web site with news and information on the latest DVDs from Transformers Animated Japan. Read the details from the new releases of Volume 3 and 4 DVDs that will be released in Japan on October 8, 2010 and November 5, 2010 in Japan for 3,129 JPY / $35 USD each.

Takara Tomy and Paramount Japan have posted the news and title information for the new Transformers Animated Japan DVDs that will be coming out later this year in Japan. The updates outline two new titles: Volume 1 that will contain the first four episodes to be released in August and Volume 2 which will cover episodes 5 through 8 for release in September.

TG Studios have posted an interesting bit of video giving the fans some details on who's behind the Transformers Cyber Missions that have been showing online. The video lists the production being done by TG Studios with details on voices and other participants. What's most interesting is the legal warning referring to the material as part of a "DVD." Japanese Transformers fans don't need to feel left out. TakaraTomy has updated their official Transformers product site with the Hasbro produced N.E.S.T. Cyber Missions that we all know and love, NOT. Takara has posted the first clip with the next coming to Japan on March 19th. Check out the videos now with Japanese sub-titles at takaratomy.co.jp.

Thanks to Shout! Factory who's sent out the cover art for the Transformers Generations 1 DVD cover to Season 3 and 4. Looks more art work by Andrew Griffith. Looks like artwork by Andrew Griffith. This one's got Rodimus holding up the Matrix to ward off the Decepticon warriors Scourge, Cyclonus and Galvatron as Unicron's head looms in the distance. Pretty spiffy. Who says Black Friday has to start tomorrow? Several stores, including WalMart, Buy.com, and Amazon.com, are having sales right now! The latter is going to sell the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-ray DVD at a nice discount starting at 11 AM EST/8AM PST. We don't know how much the discount will be, but these sales have been going all week (yours truly has been watching like a hawk) and they're pretty good. Read more.

While it's nowhere near official, Transformers Animated Season Three may be hitting DVD sometime soon. Amazon has put up a product page for the set, but there is not a pre-order in sight. However, we can hold out hope and just wanted to inform you about it. Don't get your hopes up too much at this point, but we'll let you know when more information comes from this. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hit the home media circuit on October 20th on DVD and Blu-ray formats and has hit a large milestone already. According to an analysis from Home Media Magazine, 7.5 million copies were snatched up from retailers in the first week of the film's release on home media. This makes the film the top selling DVD of the year. 1.2 million of those copies were on the Blu-ray format. The film sold two (2) million copies on its first day in stores, 500,000 of them on the high-definition Blu-ray Disc format.

We reported previously that Michael Bay's site has reported four (4) million copies of the Revenge of the Fallen DVDs, Blu-ray included. When there have actually been about half that. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen sales on the first day of release were two (2) million DVD Blu-ray discs.

OK, so there's about 50 gazillion different copies of this DVD/Blu-Ray film out. I picked up the Target BBcase, and so far found 2 easter eggs on the special features disc. Anyhow, if you've found more, here's the place to list what you found and what set you found them on.

According to Michael Bay's official website administrator, the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen sold four million (! -ed) copies of the film on DVD and Blu-ray. This figure is unconfirmed, but to back up his claim, "nelson" says he has received emails from individuals in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and Houston who were going to purchase the home media at their local retailers only to find them sold out. Bay's forums admin, Nelson, has posted some details about the Transformers Revenge of The Fallen Blu-ray SteelBook and Imax releases that will be coming 10/20. Word is the Steelbook will only be at Fye in the USA, Future Shop will be carrying them in Canada. Nelson will be offering of these for sale on the site. In further promotion of the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on DVD and Blu-ray on October 20th, Paramount Home Entertainment has provided SciFiCool a clip of a feature that will be included in the special features section of the DVD release. The feature surrounds the Transformers mythology and how it influenced the stories being told in the blockbuster sequel. Check out the clip embedded after the jump!

The IMAX footage that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Director Michael Bay said he would put in the Blu-ray edition of the film will be a WalMart exclusive. "I spoke to Paramount today and here's the lowdown on the Imax TF2 release: Walmart will have exclusive rights on selling the [Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen] (w/ Imax) on DVD and Blu-ray," nelson, administrator of Mr. Bay's official website, writes. The director had previously said in an interview that they are "going to do a special IMAX skew where it’ll open up for those scenes. You can see top to bottom."
