AllSparker HeyMickey has managed to purchase a copy of Transformers: War for Cybertron on XBox 360 at a Sears store in Tennessee, and has graciously provided the proper proof of his find. It seems the store has broken the street date of June 22, 2010, the official release date of the video game. HeyMickey reports that the Nintendo DS Autobot and Decepticon versions as well as the Nintendo Wii's Cybertron Adventures were also available for sale. It is unknown how widespread this is, so if you just so happen to stroll on by the video game section at your local Sears, be sure to report back to us, okay?
The exclusive retailer of TakaraTomy's Welcome to Transformers 2010 campaign Toy Hobby Market begun taking pre-orders of the MP-4S Convoy Sleep Mode and Unicron figures. Hasbro Toy Shop has posted up pre-orders for the first wave of Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Scouts, including new molds Hubcap and Brimstone. The other two figures to round out the wave are Backfire (Knock Out repaint) and Crankstart (Dune Runner repaint). All figures are $7.99 each and are slated for an August 9th release.
The Toys R Us website has an item that us, members of this forums, are pretty interested in as "in stock" on their website: Transformers Generations Deluxe Action Figure - Cybertronian Bumblebee. Earlier this hour, Cybertronian Optimus Prime was also listed as "in stock" but has since been changed to "out of stock." The website is currently running a buy one get one 50% off deal on both figures.
Hasbro Toy Shop is now accepting pre-orders of their upcoming figures from the Transformers: Generations and Power Core Combiners figures! All of the figures mentioned here currently have a tentative ship date of August 9, 2010. The Generations figures include Cybertron Bumblebee, Cybertron Optimus Prime, Thrust, and Drift. The Power Core Combiners - Huffer with Caliburst, Smolder with Chopster, Searchlight with Backwind, Skyburst with Aerialbots, and Bombshock with Combaticons - are the same five figures officially unveiled yesterday. Hasbro Toy Shop is currently offering a $4.99 flat rate for their standard shipping service from now until November 30, 2009. The only thing off limits are store exclusives, which means you cannot use this for the 25th Anniversary Soundwave and Mighty Muggs Optimus Prime. Sorry guys. However, everything else is applicable, so if you've been looking to pick up something but didn't want to deal with that varying shipping rate, now's the time to shop!
When Skywarp and Ramjet came out at Walmart as exclusives, the pricing was a bit over the top. Maybe that explains the gobs of stock still on the shelves. Seems Walmart.com has some overstock to. Walmart is having an online sale where you can get both seekers for just $34.99 AND get a $10 Walmart gift card to boot. Quite the savings from their initial release.
Forbidden Planet, and Entertainment Earth have posted new images of the upcoming Generation 1 Wacky Wobbler Bobble Heads! These are actually the second G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron Bobble Head, though this is G1 Bumblebee's first big wobbly head appearance. Great for Desks, Dashboards, and OCD compleatists, these big headed bots can now be pre-ordered for $12.99 and are expected to ship this November. Check out the new images here.
Thanks to a tipster, we have learned that Target's website now has Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Human Alliance Skids (database entry) and is ready to ship. Oddly enough, the product page doesn't actually list the name of the figure, and simply calls it an "Autobot action figure." The figure is being sold for $29.99 before tax and shipping costs.
Update: Works today, Sunday, August 20th, too. Toys R Us is currently running a promotion for today only where if you become a fan of their Facebook page, you will receive a $5 off a purchase of $25 or more. This works on all Transformers toys, so if you've been holding out, this extra money may help you push you towards your decision! While you're on Facebook, why not be a fan of us at Facebook.com/TFormerscom?
Just finished a round of checking online stores, and HasbroToyShop.com (HTS) has both Jetfire by himself and the two pack with Prime back in stock, along with some other new figures like Thrust, Ejector, Grindor and Long Haul. They're all showing in stock now and I'm guessing TF2009 coupon code is still working as I haven't gotten anything from them in a while. Hope this helps someone out!!
Toys R Us is currently having a sale today and tomorrow up to 50% on certain Transformers figures! The figures are Universe Voyager Tread Bolt, Blaster, Heavy Load, and Dropshot; and Ultra Silverbolt, Onslaught, and Powerglide. Animated figures include Roll Out Command Optimus Prime, Leader class Bulkhead, and Bumper Battlers. Please ignore the Transformers Bumper Battler Jazz image that has replaced Animated Jazz. We're not sure what's going on there, so just go with the name description.
